Clifford Omoruyi was born on October 11, 2001, in Benin City, Nigeria. Standing 2.11m (6'11") tall, he plays at the center position.
At the age of 14, he moved to the United States, where he began playing basketball at Queen of Peace High School in Arlington, New Jersey. In March 2020, he committed to Rutgers University, where he began his collegiate career. Over four seasons with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, he appeared in 121 games, averaging 10.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game.
He completed his college career during the 2024–25 season at the University of Alabama. In 37 appearances, he averaged 7.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game, while shooting 73% from two-point range and 72.5% from the free-throw line.
In September 2025, he signed his first professional contract, a two-year deal with Maccabi Tel Aviv. He appeared in five games before moving to Galatasaray, where he played in six games.
Omoruyi joined PAOK in February 2026 and made his debut on February 4, contributing 8 points in the team's 101–67 home victory over Sporting Lisbon.
He went on to make 22 appearances for PAOK across all competitions, averaging 7.0 points and 4.1 rebounds per game while posting outstanding shooting percentages of 65.6% from two-point range and 75.6% from the free-throw line.
