PAOK advances to the FIBA Europe Cup Semi-Finals

PAOK has advanced to the semi-finals of the FIBA Europe Cup, overcoming the obstacle of Peristeri and reaching the top 4 of the competition for the second consecutive year. Despite an 88–80 defeat, PAOK secured qualification thanks to the 24-point victory in the first game at the PAOK Sports Arena, which proved to be a decisive advantage over the two-leg tie.
PAOK faced intense pressure from the beginning, as the home team started strong and led 9–3, 14–6, and 19–8. Our team reduced the deficit to 19–12, with the first quarter ending at 21–12.

Peristeri extended the lead to +14 (28–14 in the 12th minute), but PAOK responded by slowing down the hosts’ pace and cutting the deficit (28–20 in the 15th minute). Shortly before halftime, Peristeri went up 44–27 and led by 15 points (46–31) at the break.

PAOK improved significantly in the third quarter, took control of the game, and reduced the gap. Back-to-back three-pointers from Melvin and Tyree brought the team within three points (56–53), before the period ended 66–60.

With a three-pointer by Tyree, PAOK briefly took the lead (75–76), but the hosts responded with an 11–0 run to regain a 10-point advantage (86–76). However, this did not affect PAOK’s qualification.
