PAOK BC announces the signing of Nasos Bazinas, who has agreed to a four-year contract with our team and will wear the black and white jersey until 2030! The international guard is considered one of the most promising representatives of the new generation of Greek basketball, combining maturity on the court with tremendous development potential, and represents a major investment for PAOK.
Athanasios (Nasos) Bazinas was born on October 18, 2003, stands at 1.94m, and plays at the point guard position. He comes from the youth academy of Promitheas Patras, with whom he won the Greek U16 Championship in 2019. From the age of 15, he was already involved with Promitheas’ senior team activities, made his Stoiximan GBL debut during the 2019–20 season, and has already recorded 120 appearances in the Greek league, along with 55 more games in European competitions.
During the current season, and across 23 league games with Promitheas Patras, he averaged 7.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 4.5 assists in 21:43 minutes per game, while shooting 82% from the free-throw line, 57% on two-point shots, and 30.6% from three-point range.
He also played in 8 games in the Basketball Champions League, averaging 6.9 points, 2 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.
He is a member of the Greece men's national basketball team and has represented Greece at every youth national team level. In 2023, he won the bronze medal at the FIBA U20 EuroBasket.
