PAOK BC announces Derek Ogbeide

PAOK BC announces the official agreement with Derek Ogbeide. The Nigerian center, who also has USA citizenship, will be signing an one year deal with our team, and he is the first player that PAOK adds to the 2021-22 season's roster.

Derek Ogbeide was born on March 28, 1997 in Lagos, Nigeria and is a 2.06m. tall center. He has lived in London, in Sweden and Canada, before moving to USA and Atlanta.

After graduating from Pebblebrook High School, he went to Georgia University. During his last season (2018-2019) he got to average for 9,7 points, 5.7 rebounds, with a 53% shooting percentage, in 32 games and 21,1 min per game.

He started his career as a pro from Cyprus (2019-20 season: 8,7 ppg, 6,5 rpg). He played for the same team in the next season (2020-21) and he won Championship and Cup in Cyprus. He was also the MVP of the season with impresive numpers: 14 ppg, 10,3 rpg, 1,3 apg!

At the end of last season, he moved to Israel to play 4 game with Hapoel Eilat.
