PAOK secured an impressive 101–77 victory over Peristeri Betsson, taking a very important first step toward qualification for the semifinals of the FIBA Europe Cup.
PAOK delivered an outstanding performance, dominating from the opening minutes of the game and leaving no room for their opponent to react. Our team imposed the rhythm early, built a safe lead and eventually reached a convincing win.
Peristeri took an early 5–9 lead, but PAOK responded with a 14–2 run to make it 19–11, quickly changing the flow of the game. PAOK led 25–18 at the end of the first quarter and soon extended the advantage to double digits: 35–20 (14’), 39–25 (16:15), 42–27 with a three-pointer by Dimsa, and 51–36 with a three-pointer by Melvin at halftime, with Breein Tyree already scoring 16 points.
The visitors cut the deficit to 52–42, but PAOK answered with a 9–0 run to approach a +20 lead (61–42) and increased the margin to 24 points (80–56) at the end of the third quarter, maintaining full control on both ends of the court.
The lead even surpassed 30 points (92–60), with Allen, Melvin and Moore all scoring in double digits, Tyree leading all scorers, and Beverley bringing great energy to the game. The final 101–77 score was fully deserved and gives PAOK a significant advantage ahead of the second leg of the series.
