Necessary time to recharge before the final stretch of the season

After an extremely demanding two-month period in every respect — featuring games every three days and a total of 16 matches — the time has come for the PAOK BC players to get some rest. Having completed the penultimate stage of the season, with the team reaching a European final for the second consecutive year and once again securing a place in the semi finals of the Stoiximan GBL, the four-day break granted to the entire team by Pantelis Mpoutskos was inevitable, but also necessary.
The accumulated fatigue from the consecutive and highly demanding games on the one hand, and the long break that follows on the other, place the team in a completely different routine. Rest comes first, and from Monday — when the team returns to the court — preparations will begin under a special program designed for the final competitive commitments of the season, which are expected to start after the conclusion of the EuroLeague Final Four.
PAOK BC will wait for the games between Panathinaikos AKTOR and Mykonos BC, from which its semifinal opponent will emerge. In this playoff stage as well, two wins are required to advance to the finals (best-of-three format), with the games expected to take place at the end of May.
In the finals, the champion will be decided in a best-of-five series. It should also be noted that there will be no third-place classification game this season, as according to the Stoiximan GBL regulations: “Third place is awarded to the team with the highest position among the semifinal losers in the final standings table established and ratified after the conclusion of the regular season.”
