PAOK BC announces the agreement with the American guard Adam Smith, who is going to be re-enforcing our team during the 2019-2020.
Adam Terrell Smith was born on November 8, 1992 in Jonesboro Georgia, is 1.85m. tall and is a combo guard. Following his graduation from the Fayette Country High School, he began his collegiate career from the UNC Wilmington (2011-2012), with which he averaged 13.7 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists.
He then transferred to Virginia Tech, with which he was eligible to play since the 2013-14 season, scoring 11 p.p.g in a total of 14 games. He played 33 games next season (2014-15) with 13.4 p.p.g and 2.6 r.p.g. In his last collegiate season, he played for Georgia Tech, reaching the TOP-16 of “March Madness”, with 15 p.p.g and 2.3 r.p.g and with 41% shooting percentages from the perimeter.
His first season in Europe (2016-17) found him in Italy with Roseto, for the second division of the Italian League. He was the second best scorer of the league after 37 games, with 23.6 points per game (also with 3 rebounds and 2.4 assists).
Next season found him in France for Elan Chalon, and got to play against PAOK in the Basketball Champions League. In a total of 12 games in France and the BCL, he averaged 12.7 points, while he moved to Turkey in November to join Petkimspor, scoring 17.5 points per game and dishing 2.3 assists. He returned to Italy in February, closing the season playing for Pallacanestro Orzinuovvi (21.8 points in 6 games) and Capo d’ Orlando (12.4 points in 7 games).
Last season (2018-2019) he once again played for the Italian second division, this time with Ravenna, with 24 points per game (3rd scorer of the second division), 3.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists.
