PAOK BC is pleased to announce the signing of American guard Marcus Foster, who will wear the black and white jersey for the next two seasons. By adding the 2025 EuroCup champion to its roster, PAOK secures a highly talented player, a proven scorer, and a natural leader on the court.
Foster is well known to Greek basketball fans, having previously played for Panathinaikos and Promitheas Patras. He is also familiar to PAOK supporters from the club’s Basketball Champions League Play-In series against Rytas Vilnius during the 2022–23 season. Foster, who finished as the BCL’s leading scorer that year, played a decisive role in helping the Lithuanian side advance.
Marcus Foster was born on June 3, 1995, in Texas, USA. Standing at 1.91m (6’3”), he plays at the guard position.
He spent two seasons at Kansas State University before transferring to Creighton University, where he graduated in 2018 after averaging 19.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.
Foster began his professional career in South Korea with Wonju DB Promy, averaging 25.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists in 51 games during the 2018–19 season. He also played in Lebanon later that same season before embarking on a successful international career across several countries.

With Hapoel Holon during the 2019–20 season, Foster averaged 19.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 20 league games. In the Basketball Champions League, he posted 17.8 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.8 assists across 14 games.
He returned to Israel in 2024–25 with Hapoel Tel Aviv, helping the club capture the EuroCup title. He averaged 13.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 24 EuroCup appearances. In the Israeli League, he recorded 11.7 points, 2.3 assists, and 2.1 rebounds in 20 regular-season games.
Greece
Foster played for Panathinaikos during the 2020–21 season, averaging 5.3 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 10 league games.
He returned to Greece in 2021–22 with Promitheas Patras, where he averaged 12.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 10 playoff games.
Turkey
With Türk Telekom in 2020–21, he averaged 9.4 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in nine Turkish League games, while posting 8.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in six BCL appearances.
NBA G League
Foster played for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers during the 2021–22 season, averaging 16.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 3.8 assists in 47 games.
Lithuania
Foster enjoyed a standout season with Rytas Vilnius in 2022–23, averaging 16.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 27 domestic league games.
In the Basketball Champions League, he emerged as the competition’s leading scorer, averaging 20.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists across 15 games.
He returned to Rytas for the 2023–24 season, averaging 15.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 15 league games. Foster was named MVP of the Lithuanian League Finals, leading Rytas to the championship title against Andrea Trinchieri’s Žalgiris Kaunas. He also appeared in two BCL games, averaging 18.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists.
China
During the 2023–24 season, Foster played for Shandong, averaging 13.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.9 assists in 16 games.
Japan
Most recently, Foster spent the 2025–26 season with Alvark Tokyo, averaging 15.8 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in 59 games.
