PAOK BC is pleased to announce the signing of Naz Mitrou-Long on a three-year contract. The experienced guard, who brings valuable experience from the NBA, the EuroLeague, and some of Europe’s top domestic leagues, will wear the PAOK jersey through 2029 and represents a major addition to our roster.
Nazareth Mitrou-Long was born on August 3, 1993, in Ontario, Canada, and holds both Canadian and Greek citizenship. Standing at 1.93m (6’4”), he plays at the guard position.
Mitrou-Long played at Iowa State University, graduating in 2017 after averaging 15.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.7 assists during his collegiate career.
He spent three seasons in the NBA between 2017 and 2020, appearing in 20 games with the Utah Jazz and the Indiana Pacers. During the same period, and over a total of four seasons, he also competed in the NBA G League with the Salt Lake City Stars and the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. Across 99 G League appearances from 2017 to 2021, he averaged 17.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.
In 2021, Mitrou-Long made the move to Europe, joining Germani Brescia in Italy. He enjoyed an outstanding season, averaging 17.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 4.8 assists in 35 games, earning the Italian League Rookie of the Year award.
The following season (2022–23), he signed with Armani Milano, helping the club capture the Italian Championship. Across domestic league and EuroLeague competition, he averaged 7.5 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 3.0 assists in 35 appearances.
He began the 2023–24 season with Žalgiris Kaunas before joining Olympiacos in November 2023. Over nearly two seasons with Olympiacoa, he appeared in 52 games across domestic and European competitions, averaging 4.2 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. During his time there, he won the Greek Cup (2024), the Greek Super Cup (2024), and the Stoiximan GBL Championship (2025).
During the recently completed 2025–26 season, Mitrou-Long played for Napoli Basket in Italy, averaging 13.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 4.1 assists in 22 games.
Naz Mitrou-Long is also a member of the Greek National Team. He made his debut on November 21, 2024, scoring 12 points in Greece’s game against Great Britain.
