PAOK BC announces agreement with Thaddus McFadden
PAOK BV announces the agreement with the American basketball player Thaddus McFadden, until the end of the 2016-2017 season. McFadden is expected to arrive in Thessaloniki this Wednesday (28/12 at 14:50).
Thaddus McFadden was born on May 29, 1989 at Flint, Michigan, he is 1m.88 and plays as a guard. He began his career in Flint Southwestern Academy (Michigan) and as a college player started from St. Clair Country CC where he stayed two years. He graduated in 2009 from Fairmont State, counting in his last season 25.4 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game on 79% FT, 37% in three-pointers and 45.5% in two pointers.
He was not chosen in the NBA draft and so crossed the Atlantic to play for the first time in Europe. His first destination was the Czech Championship, where he stayed for three years. Two of them wearing the jersey of BK Usti and next season with the shirt of SLUNETA. Then he moved to Germany on behalf of Basketball Lowen Braunschweig, before continuing his career in Cyprus, where he stayed for three years.
In 2013-2014 season he played for APOEL, with 14.1 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists, helping the team winning the championship, having alongside Andreas Glyniadakis, which will again be teammates PAOK.
The following year found him with AEK Larnaca, and in 25 games he has 15.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, winning back the championship. Last year (2015-2016), he played with the shirt of AEK Larnaca in FIBA Europe Cup, having averaged 17.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.2 steals, while in the league had 17 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists, celebrating the end of the season his third consecutive championship.
Thaddus McFadden began this season in the French League with Nancy, and in 14 games had 12.4 points, 1.9 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game (82.5% in free throws, 50.7% in two pointers and 27.6% on three-pointers).
