Olympiacos bested PAOK 80-59 at the SEF for the 24th day of the betshop Basket Legue. PAOK tried to exploit off Olympiacos' problems and was competitive for about 30 minutes but was not able to find solutions in the offense at the end and was subsequently defeated.
The two teams remained close in the score during the first minutes of the game, with PAOK running a 0-8 streak and turning the 9-8 to 9-16, thanks to two threes by Antonis Koniaris and Phil Goss, while the first quarter ended with PAOK leading 20-22.
In the second quarter, PAOK maintained the lead, finding solutions in the offense thanks to Vangelis Margaritis and Linos Chrysikopoulos, however, Olympiacos ran a partial 7-0 in the last two minutes and closed the first half leading by 2 (36-34).
Olympiacos succeeded in getting ahead by 10 points amidst the third quarter, when leading 54-44, PAOK closed in at 54-49 with a lay-up by Johndre Jefferson and a three by William Hatcher. Olympiacos however got to close the quarter after running a partial 6-0 and leading by 11 (60-49).
In the fourth quarter, PAOK once again tried to come back to the game, closing in at 60-52 with a three by Linos Chrysikopoulos, but Olympiacos dominated and won 80-59.
